Synapse 3 and Philips Hue Bridge not working

I've had this issue for probably half a year if not even longer.
 
I've tried everything one can think of
- reinstall synapse
- reinstall all the plug ins
- remove all the files relating to synapse after a complete uninstall
- reset Hue Bridge
- reset the whole entertainment area
- contact Hue (they see no issues)
- latest software update on everything
- pretty sure in between I even had a PC reset
 
 
I’ve submitted multiple tickets to Razer support but no one has bothered to reply to me. When trying to do a full ticket with diagnostics and stuff from the synapse app, it just doesn’t work no matter how many times I try to do it.
 
Basically it used to sync, at one point it bugged and it stopped working. I removed the bridge from synapse and tried to reconnect and that was it. It never succeeded in finding it again. I tried manually adding the IP but it didn't work. It works on my laptop, but not on my PC. I don't know what the problem would be. I have the same apps on both devices, especially anti virus apps.

Have you checked that a firewall isn't blocking the bridge? Could be a desktop firewall rule, or a router rule maybe?

It can't be. Same anti virus on my laptop and PC. Same anti virus I've always had. Laptop works fine, PC just refuses...

Do you know the IP address of the Hue bridge? If you open cmd.exe on your laptop, then PING the IP, do you get a valid reply? And now on your desktop?

Assuming the IP I find on the Hue app, both comes back as cannot find.

I tried contacting support via a bug report on the app, still haven’t heard anything back, don’t even know if the report is going through… sigh

I did, yes. There was no internet connection allowed for Synapse, which is why it couldn’t connect to my bridge. Once I allowed that, everything worked fine.

Ah, OK. Well, my bridge IS connected and I can control the lights and change the colour sin Synapse but they don’t sync in games or with the Visualisers. I have no idea why

Im having the same issue

Razer last gave me just normal troubleshooting steps that did not work, have put another case in.. but im going with theres an issue with the software

Yeah I'm getting the usual crap from them currently "send OS version, send app version, send serial numbers, send this, send that" which I have already done with their support team on Twitter.

 

I honestly thinl there's an issue with the software and 3rd party lights, done intentionally to make you buy their lights

i have tried all i can to connect my hue bridge to the razer synapse, has nobody linked them togheter? is there no way to connect them?
