Synapse 3 Chroma apps blank

I recently had to reinstall my OS and after reinstalling Razer Synapse 3 and Streamer Companion App I can't get the two to connect. I was able before the reinstall.

I've tried following countless guides online. I've uninstalled the apps so many times, uninstalled drivers, deleted files, uninstalled registry files before reinstalling. Basically everything on this list I've done multiple times.

How to perform a clean installation of Razer Synapse on Windows

I'm not sure what to do next? I have the Razer Seiren Emote mic that I use for streaming but since the apps won't connect.. it's pointless.

Does anyone have any solutions I could try? Perhaps it's a software bug.

Just another note, I installed the programs on my laptop and another PC in my house with no issues. I'm not sure what's so different with my PC to make it so they won't connect.

Same problem here... please help
I am having the same issue
Also the same issue; I have the Emote Display and it isn't being detected by Synapse 3 at all...tried clean installing, different USBs, but nothing seems to work. I get the same issues in the screencaps posted above in the original post. I know it isn't the USBs, because I tested my BlackShark v2 USB Sound Card in those ports and Synapse picks that up just fine. My guess is that it's either a software issue or conflict within Synapse that needs to be patched, so hopefully something is rolled out soon.
I have the same problem. I reinstalled the OS and stopped connecting, spoke to the chat support team and they couldn't find a solution, I sent them my Synapse and Chroma Connect log in case there is something we are not seeing. If someone has any idea or has been able to solve it, I will make an altar in the Olympus!! xD
PS: Sorry for my english 😳😳
So… I have a solution but it’s a long, drawn out, convoluted one that may / may not work for you guys but I wanted to get it out there in case it can help.

If using a Razer mouse - get a different mouse during this time.

STEP ONE: Back up any profiles you’ve created in Razer Synapse 3. Use this article for help on how to do that: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1909/

Warning: If you have Streamer Companion App and have emojis created you must back up the Razer App Data folder to save them! There is no way to manually export them and if you do not back up your App Data they will get lost.

To back up the App Data folder, you have to turn on Hidden folders.

  • Access the "Folder Options"
  • Go to the "View" tab
  • Select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives".

If you are somehow unable to delete these folders, you may have to stop any Razer Synapse related processes running in your task manager.

Go into App Data -> Local and back up the Razer folder to a flash drive or to different drive on your PC.

STEP TWO: Uninstall all Razer programs. Every single one. Make sure if you have modules installed with Synapse you select all and uninstall all of those too!

Now unplug all Razer devices and plug in that extra mouse I mentioned above.

STEP THREE: Now it’s time to delete any Razer files. But it’s okay - since you backed up the most important ones already! Delete all of this folders:

  • C:\\Program Files\\Razer

  • C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Razer

  • C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Razer Chroma SDK

  • C:\\ProgramData\\Razer

    • This command can be used in place of the above to access the directory: %ProgramData%

  • C:\\Users\\<username>\\AppData\\Local\\Razer

    • This command can be used in place of the above to access the directory: %AppData%

  • C:\\Users\\<username>\\AppData\\Roaming\\Synapse3

    • This command can be used in place of the above to access the directory: %AppData%

STEP FOUR: Delete the registry entries for Razer. Don’t worry! I know this sounds scary, but you can do this!

Use either method below to open up the registry editor:

  • In the search box on the taskbar, type regedit. Then, select the top result for Registry Editor (Desktop app).

  • Press and hold or right-click the Start button, then select Run. Enter regedit in the Open: box and select OK.

Now, you see all those folders on the left-hand side? Go through each one and look for any that have Razer as the title of the folder. Delete them. I deleted a few of them and checked every single folder to make sure I got them all.

STEP FIVE: Go into Device Manager. Delete and uninstall drivers for any Razer devices you have. They should be located under the Human Interface Devices

STEP SIX:

  • Restart your PC. And I mean actually restart don’t shut it off then turn it back on.
  • Plug back in your devices. Now your drivers should reinstall manually.
STEP SEVEN: Go to Razer.com and download a new copy Razer Synapse & Streamer Companion App. Download a new file for each - just in case the old ones were corrupted for whatever reason.

Install Razer Synapse but do not select ANY modules! None. Just install the Razer Synapse program which was around 89mb if I remember correctly. Install to C drive.

Open it up and make sure your Razer devices show up and are recognized.

STEP EIGHT: Now install the Streamer Companion App. Open it up when it’s done installing.

STEP NINE: With both programs open, go to modules and install the Chroma Connect. Since you have both programs open - it should recognize that you have the Streamer Companion App and automatically see / connect to it.

STEP TEN: Import your profiles and replace your App Data with the backed up App Data (if you did so!)

I occasionally have to unplug / replug in my mic to get it working again with the Streamer Companion App. The best way to make sure it’s working is to have a background color set for your keyboard, mouse, and Mic so when you open the app, everything will turn a specific color and you’ll know it’s connected.

If you are uncomfortable doing any of the steps I mentioned above - please don’t and wait for the a new version of the app to come out that should (hopefully) fix this problem.
FUCK YES !!!!! THANK YOU!!! You are my savior. I can't explain how happy I am right now, a tear has even fallen! Seriously, I hope the gods of Olympus or Valhalla can pay you what you just gave us today! 😭😭😭
I'm glad I could help! There was a third part which is awaiting moderator approval lol but is basically just reinstalling the apps at that point.

I got the program to install and work on two other PCs and refused to give up until I could figure it out lol
Oh I forgot xD. In step four you can search directly for "Razer" by pressing Control + F and checking all the boxes and the folders will appear directly.
Well that would've been really helpful lol thank you! I literally went into each folder looking for anything that said Razer I was so determined.

I was already desperate, I knew it was something from the registry but I did not dare to touch anything there, knowing myself that it would spoil it even more xD
I tried the steps you listed and it did not work for me. Still having the same issue that you described above. No apps listed in Chroma Connect, and getting the same error in the Streamer Companion App. Tried sending a support ticket as well, and they were no help either; telling me I needed to update my system and run a DiskHealth scan and such. Feeling like I basically wasted my money at this point.
