- I've tried the obvious "Keyboard Function" in Synapse 3, and pressing F24, but it doesn't register in this view (My keyboard (Logitech) already has a key remapped to F24, works perfectly, I just want PTT on my mouse)
- The "Macro" view DOES register presses of F24 fine, unfortunately, if I set it to "repeat when held" in is constantly "pressing" the key, not pressing it once, then releasing when I release it. If set to "Press once" it just presses momentarily. I can set up a macro that does the "press down" and "release" a set number of seconds later, but not "release when I actually release the mouse button" which is what I need for PTT. This is SO CLOSE to working, if only the macro system was robust enough to have triggers for press and release of the triggering button.
- I found a thread ( https://www.overclock.net/forum/375-mice/1453680-razer-naga-real-side-buttons-trick-f13-f24-bound-side-buttons.html# ) that described manually putting the correct keyboard scan codes into the config file for Synapse... that file no longer exists in that location in Synapse 3, and I cannot find a comparable config file. Where is Synapse 3 storing the profile settings?
Synapse 3 Keybindings (Basalisk V2 , F24) [SOLVED]
TL;DR: I'm looking for a way to map the "sensitivity clutch" button to F24.
Why? I was looking for a good push to talk key for use while gaming. Most keyboard keys are already in use by the game or the operating system in a way that interfered, but original IBM keyboards had 24 function keys, not the current 12, and support is still in the OS. The extra 12 function keys are unused, and work beautifully for PTT.
What have I tried?
