Because my "desk" (a folding table) has very finite space but I'm expected to be able to work from home, make changes to production servers at 4am, etc., I got a KVM, a Rosewill RKV-18003, so I can use the same keyboard and mouse for my work laptop as I do for my gaming rig. Both run Windows 10 x64, Enterprise for the laptop and Professional for the desktop, desktop being at the latest build. The Synapse 3 software is up to date on both devices.
I've unplugged, rebooted, you name it, but while I can USE the keyboard on both devices, the backlights don't turn on and Synapse can't see it. Any idea why the mouse works in Synapse but not the kb? Given that it's the same reaction on both computers, I don't think it's the keyboard or the computers themselves.
Not a deal-breaker, but even if a bug report makes its way over to the Synapse dev team, that's awesome. Even awesomer would be learning, "You just have to do x," or whatever and I have all of my keyboard's features back.

Before anything else, does Synapse 3 detect the keyboard when plugged directly into your gaming rig's USB port?
