synapse 3 won't install.

i cant even get that far i click the installer and it closes/crashes straight away  👍

I’ve installed it, but it’s useless anyway

I found quite possibly the stupidest solution to this lol but it worked for me (and one other user on reddit):

1. find installer file in downloads

2. right-click the installer file

   1. ​​​​​​for windows 11, click "show more options"

3. choose "7-zip" or "winzip" or whatever zipping program you have from the list

4. hover over it and pick "extract files"

5. then just click "ok" to have it extract the files into your downloads folder where the installer was downloaded (or make a custom folder)

6. In the extracted folder there will be a "RazerInstaller" file that is a ".exe" file type, open that and let it run

7. If you haven't already, plug in your Razer devices (mouse/camera/keyboard/whatevs) and it should recognize them, then just choose what you want to install

This should fix the auto-crash that happens when launching the installer

my best guess is some of our systems have non-standard compression tools assigned as default and the razer exe is confusing which compression tool to use (7z?)
