Synapse lost my mouse!!!

Hi there... I have a challenge for u all, synapse 2 has lost my Naga Epic Chrome mouse and no amount of me uninstalling restarting and reinstalling or what not has made one bit of difference. I moved the PC from one room to another yesterday and after firing it up again Synapse 2 had managed to loose the mouse :eek_: so of I go scouring the intrawebz to find a solution to this problem, thinking mehh it will sort it self out soon after some minor fiddling with updating drivers at the most. . . How wrong I was, I've been solidly been working on this for over 5 hours today and that is not to count the time I used yesterday. From what I find on the Internet is that this is a old as fxxk issue, and wonder how it can be that there isn't a proper workaround or guide on the Razer.com website. So therefor I'm hoping some kind hearten nerd can help me along so I can go back into my hole and play my damn games without redesigning my years old setups for my mouse and keypad. Setup would be a win 10 (updated) Naga Epic Chrome (doesn't show up in Synaps 2) Nostdormo keypad (shows up in Synaps 2) Any additional info can be given if needed. Regards Goodmann

Play USB tag. One of your USB ports is being fickle, or getting old. Make sure the plug fits in slugly. If its loose, probably a USB port issue. Had to do the same on my end when adding a Cynosa Chroma keyboard to the system after had a Tartarus V2 going. Soon as installing the Cynosa Chroma keyboard the Tartarus V2 vanished. Ended up being mostly USB port tag.

Well even if I know the USB ports r tight as a virgins ass, I did replace the mouse several times. Every time it is recognized by the PC as per usual and not by Synapse as per unusual. Now I have jumped through every possible hoops I could find and them some of em multiple times... Nothing works... I'm starting to believe that something is wrong with the Synapse 2, Synapse 3 isn't gonna be an option because it doesn't show neither device as both r to old for Razer to bother with.

What I've had to do with Synapse 3, every time there is an update or Synapse loses the Tartarus V2 & Cynosa Chroma keyboard:
  • Copied Profiles over to a folder in My Documents
  • Uninstalled all Razer software
  • Booted to Safe Mode, deleted every Razer folder and its contents
  • Ran Glary Utilities to remove residual traces and registry entries
  • Booted back to Win7 x64, reinstalled Synapse 3 from Razer Downloads
  • Rebooted
Then I have to reinstall an older Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-Card Desktops, v.5.30.21.0, A01 cause the Synapse installation does something bad to the Wireless WLAN Card Utility - which lets me see real time statistics, graph, details, and allows me to reset the wireless when needed.

Now Razer Support got back to me after filing a report through Synapse, which is rather lengthy... would assume would also be for Synapse 2, with some variations. For the Synapse 3 not detecting your devices, you may try to clean uninstall as below steps; How to perform a Clean Reinstall NOTE: restart of the computer is required to perform this process. 1) Please uninstall "Razer Synapse" and "Razer Chroma SDK Core Components" from your computer under Programs and Features. 2) Delete all files in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Razer\\Synapse and C:\\ProgramData\\Razer\\Synapse directories. These folders are hidden by default, so please be sure to unhide them by accessing "Folder Options", then, go to the "View" tab and select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives." (shown below) NOTE: If you are somehow unable to delete these folders, you may have to kill any Razer Synapse related processes running in your task manager. 3) To ensure that there are no residual files remaining that may corrupt the installation, restart your computer 4) Go into device manager, go to Keyboards and Audio inputs and outputs - mouse and other pointing devices, uninstall HID Keyboard and Mouse Drivers and all other Razer product drivers, and restart your PC. Be sure to select delete drivers as well when uninstalling. 5) Restart your computer again. 6) Temporarily turn off all Firewall and Antivirus software to prevent any conflicts. 7) Make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework .
