Hello! I’ve been having a heck of a time tracking down issues I’m having with my RZ01-0440.
EDIT: Goldarn it, the instant after I clicked Post, now no scrolling profile seems to apply correct, not even Custom. I can’t feel scroll steps hardly at all. This is horrible.
Background:
- Mouse model: RZ01-0440
- Mouse firmware version: 1.2.1.0
- Synapse version: 3.9.331.32712
- Central version: 7.15.0.675
- OS: Windows 11 Business 23H2
- I have several Synapse mouse profiles: Default, Shooter, etc.
- With Default, I set the Adaptive scrolling profile as the only one for that profile. I also use the Browser Detection to detect Firefox.
- With Shooter, I set the Distinct scrolling profile as the only one for that profile. It detects my shooter games (Halo, etc.)
Problem:
- I’m finding that my scrolling profiles work (as in, get applied correctly) for maybe a week, and then they stop getting applied. Well, sort of. I can feel the change in clicks per revolution between Adaptive/Ultrafine/Distinct, but the tension and tension curves stop feeling right. It’s almost like all scrolling profiles are set to the same low scroll tension?
- And when I try my best to use Custom to sort of re-create, for instance, Distinct, Custom feels VERY different, it feels as expected, if that makes sense.
- I mean, look at these screenshots below. Custom feels VERY different, MUCH more distinct than Distinct does. With Distinct, I hardly feel any sort of bump.
- There’s something going on. I’ve started only using Custom for my scroll profiles because the defaults don’t feel like they’re working in terms of all the haptic parameters getting applied to the mouse when each profile activates.

Steps taken thus far:
I’ve completely uninstalled/reinstalled Razer software using steps provided during previous support tickets.
I have done this several times this past year.
The result is the same: scrolling profiles feel like they apply okay, until they don’t! They just stop and I don’t like it, and I’m tired of spending an hour every month or few weeks or whatever it is reinstalling everything.
