Synapse swapping buttons

Hi, I've just bought the Viper Ultimate recently. Loving the mouse a lot, but the crappy software has been an absolute nightmare. There are a lot of issues with it and switching profiles, but right now I'm just looking for a solution to an extremely annoying problem: switching side buttons. Every now and then the software randomly swaps my side button bindings, left side to right and vice versa. The program still has it as right-handed. Changing to left-handed and back does not fix it and I usually have to completely quit the software and launch it back to get it to work properly. Why is it doing this and how can I get it to stop?
