Been using the Nostromo for years. Bought today the Tartarus V2 to replace my good old Nostromo but I think I have to give it back. I just found out that you remove this feature for the Synapse, when always worked on Synapse 2.
That is a shame.
Is this going to change in the near future? If not, tomorrow I will send this back to the store. And stop looking after razer products for sure.
Hope to hear from you soon.

buyer beware... if you want software "features"... look else where
the firmware in the mouse should be reporting a button down/up event like a normal button
just synapse 3 macro bind should disable any "playback option" that requires holding keys (eg 'Play once' is fine)
and dont get me started with the other software annoyances you have to put up with
the online only installer.
the 500+ megabyte of ram to run ALL there separate modules and services.
the forcing of signing up and forced to sign in every time you use their software
