Trying to configure a Tartarus Pro in Synapse 3.9.806.81316 got very confusing, so I tried a systematic approach.
I selected the default ‘controller’ keymap and then tried to set all assignments to DISABLED.
That worked for all keys except: 07, 08, 09. Those just kept the controller assignments.
I then tried to set the 07, 08, 09 keys to ‘DEFAULT’. That worked.
I then tried to set the 07, 08, 09 keys to ‘DISABLED’. They show up dark red, as if it has worked and indeed the 08 key was disabled. However, the 07 and 09 keys despite being red still give their default outputs of Q and E.
I then set a keyboard assignment (Num5) to the 07 key. Worked fine. Then set it back to disabled. It shows up red again but does still send the Num5 key.
Overall the assignments are totally unpredictable:
- most cases a new assignment works fine: Synapse shows the new config and it is actually active
- some cases Synapse completely rejects the new assignment
- some cases Synapse shows the new config but the device still sends the old assignment.
