THE RAZER CROMA X DOES NOT DETECT THE GPU

aeroVividYellowvalley590

GOOD AFTERNOON, I WOULD LIKE HELP WITH A PROBLEM I HAVE WITH MY CROMA X.

IT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY BUT IT STOPPED WORKING AND NOW IT ONLY RECOGNIZES THE CROMA BUT THE GPU DOES NOT APPEAR IN THE DEVICE MANAGER.

IT IS CONNECTED TO THUNDERBOLT 3 AND I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED THE CABLE FOR A NEW ONE BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. I TRIED IT ON ANOTHER LAPTOP AND IT DOES THE SAME THING.

I ALSO CHANGED THE GPU FOR ANOTHER ONE AND IT STILL DOES THE SAME.

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Since you've tried a different cable, a different GPU, and a different laptop, and the Razer Core X is recognized but the GPU isn't, the problem most likely lies with the Razer Core X enclosure itself.

Here are a few things to check with the Core X:

## Potential Issues and Solutions

  1. Power Supply to the Core X:

    • Ensure the Core X is receiving adequate power. Double-check that the power cable is securely connected to both the Core X and the wall outlet.
    • If the internal fan of the Core X isn't spinning up, it might indicate a power issue within the enclosure.
  2. GPU Seating and Power inside the Core X:

    • Open the Razer Core X and make sure the graphics card is fully and correctly seated in the PCIe slot. Remove it and reseat it firmly.
    • Ensure that any necessary PCIe power connectors from the Core X's power supply are securely plugged into the graphics card. Some high-power GPUs require one or even two of these connectors.
  3. Internal Components of the Core X:

    • PCIe Slot: Inspect the PCIe slot on the Core X's board for any visible damage, like bent pins or debris.
    • Thunderbolt Port on Core X: Although the Core X itself is recognized, there could still be an issue with the Thunderbolt controller or port on the enclosure that specifically affects GPU data transmission.
  4. Firmware/Drivers for the Core X:

    • Check Razer's support website for any firmware updates specifically for the Razer Core X. Sometimes, firmware can become corrupted or outdated, causing recognition issues.
    • Ensure you have the latest Thunderbolt drivers installed on your laptops. Even though it's recognized, updated drivers can sometimes resolve communication issues.

## Next Steps

Given that you've isolated the problem to likely be the Core X by swapping other components and laptops:

  • Inspect Physical Connections Internally: Carefully re-check all connections inside the Core X.
  • Contact Razer Support: If none of the above steps work, the enclosure itself may have a hardware fault (e.g., with its internal Thunderbolt controller, PCIe bridge, or power delivery system for the GPU). Reaching out to Razer Support for warranty service or repair options would be the next logical step. Explain the troubleshooting steps you've already performed.

    • If the internal fan of the Core X isn't spinning up, it might indicate a power issue within the enclosure.
  2. GPU Seating and Power inside the Core X:

Retírelo y vuelva a colocarlo firmemente.

Hello brother, I have tried to contact the online service of Razer and I can't get in touch with them.
