THX Spatial not working on Windows 10 Precision 5540


I have 2 laptops and I worked with support today to get my older laptop's THX Spatial sound working by doing the whole clean install method, etc., etc. So I went to do it on my Precision 5540 and nothing I do makes it work. Everything looks good from the sense that I have the right sound device available, I can see all the options in Synapse, etc., but the tests don't work (there is no sound) and using THX as the audio device results in no sound as well.
