Touchpad issues

I bought this RAZER 15 (2022) laptop about a week ago and for some reason the touchpad stopped working in middle of me working in MS word. It’s wierd, because it works perfectly fine in the windows startup menu, but as soon as I get to my desktop, it stops working. I’ve tried updating drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, turning off cursor suppression, and restarting my computer. I would really appreciate some assistance. I read about some touchpad issues being caused by expanding batteries, so now I have a lot of anxiety — mostly because the whole reason why I got a RAZER laptop in the first place is because my Mac laptop exploded and nearly burnt my house down. So, I’d also like to know if I need to throw this laptop in middle of the ocean. Thanks!

Did you try to open the back panel to check the battery or is there any physical indication of a bloated battery? I also suggest you follow the steps here for further isolation. If that didn't help, PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and look for other steps to help you address the trackpad issue. *Thread locked to curb conversation to PM.
