Touchpad not working | Razer Insider

Not sure what caused this to happen, but the touchpad on my Razer Blade Base model (2018) (RZ09-02705) will not let me click easily. I can move the mouse icon on the screen, however when I try to click and press down, it is very difficult to do so. It takes a lot of pressure to make the press happen. Has anyone run into this issue and resolved it?
This happened to me a month ago, same model laptop. The battery is located directly under the trackpad inside the case. When it swells, it puts pressure on the laptop parts around it, including the trackpad, causing the click points to not be able to move downward. Solution is to replace the battery - I do not have a good source for batteries, however - I got one from Ebay, which arrived with 0% charge and does not seem to work.
Thank you, I've checked for the issue and it is indeed the battery. I'll have to get the battery replaced. I'm extremely disappointed with Razer and the quality of their laptops under the hood. Yes they look amazing and perform well, but the quality of their build is atrocious. I've had multiple hardware issues over the past year and a half after purchase. Their support is of no help. I've had to dig around for solutions on my own. After spending almost $2000, you'd expect a bit more out of them. First and last Razer laptop I'll ever buy.
