Trouble getting started
My controller won’t turn on. I’ve heard it’s supposed to be able to be used right away. Are there other steps I’m missing? I’ve downloaded the necessary apps on my Xbox but it hasn’t made a difference

I had a similar issue. Unplugging and reconnecting the connector closest to the USB-A end fixed it for me.
