Turn off lights forever

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find a way to search the forum. Other than throwing the keyboard away, is there a way to turn the lights off. Forever. Never turn on again. Without 300 steps and an app. I found a 300 step process in the help, which only turns lights off on standby. I want them to never brighten my day or night again. My boyfriend has had this keyboard for months, and it just started lighting up at night. --62 years old and can't sleep because of a stupid keyboard
