Unable to Enter BIOS – Prolonged Black Screen, CPU Overheating, No BIOS Access

Hello,

I have a Razer Blade 2019 Advanced (RZ09-0301) laptop.

After receiving the device back from an unofficial local technical service (Razer does not have an official service center in my country), I started experiencing the following issues:

- When powering on, the screen stays black for approximately 40–60 seconds. During this time, the power LED blinks green intermittently. After that, it usually boots directly into Windows.
- Pressing DEL or F2 during startup results in a black screen indefinitely, and Windows does not boot.
- Using the Windows command (e.g., "shutdown /r /fw /t 0") to boot directly into BIOS also leaves the system stuck on a black screen, preventing Windows from loading afterward.
- I also attempted to remove the SSD, but the issue persists.
- I am unable to access the BIOS using any key combination (DEL, F1, F2, Ctrl + Esc, Fn + R, etc.).
- Additionally, the CPU is overheating and throttling abnormally, which is my biggest concern. Even when the system is idle, temperatures reach around 75°C without any load. My BIOS version appears to be 1.04 according to software like HWinfo and AIDA64.
- Furthermore, when I attempt to update the BIOS using the official Razer BIOS update tool within Windows, I receive a message stating that the system is already up-to-date and does not require an update.

Could it be possible that the service personnel flashed the wrong BIOS/firmware version, and that this issue is caused by that?

I understand that since the service was not official, this may not be under your warranty responsibility. However, I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to verify and recover the correct BIOS/firmware version.

Based on my observations, I suspect the issue might be related to the BIOS, although I understand it could also have other causes. Since I am not a technical service professional, I can only share my impressions and findings. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on possible next steps to verify and resolve the problem, including whether BIOS recovery/reset or other troubleshooting methods may help, and how to address the abnormal CPU overheating.

I would also like to ask:

  • What are your recommendations for a solution to this problem from a Razer perspective?

  • Given these conditions, is there a suitable software or tool available from the company that can be used to flash the BIOS?

Thank you for your assistance.
