Unable to update firmware razor deathaddder essential

i ve just installed a  razor deathadder elite mouse to replace my old razor death adder elite  (wired)

the firmware version of  the mouse is 1.0.0.0

i’ve been  trying to update it with a new version  with

DeathAdder Essential_Mouse_FirmwareUpdater_v1.01.00_r1.exe (downloaded from the razor website)Oonly the update button stays greyed out

synapse has been  closed  so that cant be the case

unplugging  and  replugging  the mouse also didnt work

running the program with admin rights also didnt work

so what can be the problem here?

I am experiencing the same problem and tried the same things you did with no luck.  I see no one has offered any help here.  I will continue to attempt this and will post if I figure out a reason.  It would be nice if someone would assist.

After some back and forth PM with Razer direct on this, none of the suggested solutions have worked.  I even took the mouse to a different computer, installed it and Synapse and the driver still does not see the mouse.  Synapse see’s the mouse fine and the properties shows the correct driver is being used.  The installer just does not identify the  mouse as existing.   I have tried various connections, different USB ports, running in safe mode (which I do not think would work anyway) and now 2 different computers.   This installer package is flawed.  I just purchased an Asus ROG mouse, with replaceable Omron switches.  Not sure what I will do with this DeathAdder.
