Upgrading RAM on Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2021 Model RZ09-0409 | Razer Insider

Hi,

I’m looking at upgrading the RAM in my gaming laptop. I have tried reading other threads and seen that Kingston FURY Impact was suggested so am considering getting this;

https://www.kingston.com/unitedkingdom/en/memory/gaming/kingston-fury-impact-ddr4-memory?speed=3200mt%2Fs&total%20(kit)%20capacity=32gb&kit=kit%20of%202&dram%20density=16gbit

Whilst I know and understand some things I’m not entirely tech savvy, especially when it comes to the inside of my laptop so would like some assistance on this please.

I suppose I have a few questions really before I take the plunge and buy. I’ve attached some CPU-Z screenshots of my current specs just incase.

  1. Is this RAM any good and will it work without me having to amend the BIOS? It claims to be Plug n Play and XMP Ready meaning no need to change settings in the BIOS for it to work at its advertised speed.
  2. I currently have 16gb RAM and was originally looking to upgrade to 32gb or 64gb. Upon selecting the 32gb/64gb kit for the 3200MT/s the DRAM density changes from 8Gbit to 16Gbit. Will my laptop run 16Gbit? I’m unaware of what DRAM density is to be truthful. So not sure if this is normal or not. Or would I need to choose 2666MT/s which does allow 8Gbit.
  3. I have 4 slots for RAM available. Am best off utilizing all 4 slots or just the 2 that I'm already using? If its all 4, would it be best to use 4x8gb (the 2 existing and 2 new ones) or could I use the 2 existing 8gb and 2x16gb, with a view to replace the 2x8gbs down the line if needed.

Thanks, any help would be appreciated.
