Using Thunderbolt to charge my new Blade 15

Hey, I normally have 2 chargers for every laptop: one which I keep at home and one which I take with me when I'm on the run (so I don't ever forget it). In the case of the Raser Blade, however, I realised it charges through Thunderbolt as well and so I am wondering if buying a second charger is worth it at all? - At home I have a CalDigit doc which has a single thunderbolt connection, but seems to be charging it well - On the go, I would just use the original charger that came with the laptop. Does anything seem wrong with this approach? Is there some battery maintenance problem I should be aware of or something I am missing? Thanks for the help! :)
