Viper Ultimate - Issue waking from power saving

Hello and I apologize in advance if this had been asked or stickied somewhere. I looked but did not see anything regarding this issue. I bought a Viper Ultimate a little over a week ago to replace a mouse I was unhappy with. So far I really like it and it performs well. However one very annoying issue I am having is that the mouse does not wake up from sleep upon movement or button clicking. I have to place it on the dock to wake it and even then sometimes I have to do it more than once. Also switching the power button on the mouse and back on will wake it. Very rarely it will wake on movement but I can remember three to four times ever that it has. Known issue, something that might have a work around, or potentially a defective unit? It doesn't appear you can turn off the sleep option beyond 15 minutes in Synapse. Thanks in advance, appreciate any help.
