So far, I've waited through 4 firmware updates and yet dpi downshifting has not been patched and a workaround has not been provided, I also haven't even seen much discussion of it. Is there any hope, or should I look to rma/sell right away?

I too have been waiting for over couple months. spoke to razer support created a ticket and still no fix provided. Razer support did acknowledge the issue. If this issue isnt fixed by V5 im returning the mouse. The dead zoning due to the downshift is absolutely noticeable. its a disgrace razer it has taken this long to ressolve.

When will the firmware update be released?

I’m hoping someone from Razer will at least address or ‘confirm’ the issue with VV4Pro’s DPI Downshifting occurring across the entire DPI range.

VV3Pro didn’t have this problem which is the 3955 variant that’s now public for other companies to use. DV4Pro is using something like a 39xx (3960 or 3970) that doesn’t appear to be suffering from any DPI down-shifting issues.

VV4Pro sensor is a 2 yr exclusive sensor. Not sure what the numbering would be but it for sure is a whole other type of beast apparently
