VOICE RECORD PLAYBACK

Hi I'm a first time user of Razer products and bought a Seiren Mini Crystal Mic. I tested the mic by recording my voice (on a normal tone) and when I played back my recordings, I need to up my speaker volume to atleast 80 to hear a whisper and to 100 max just to be able to hear myself clearly and also notice some background noise from my parents who are talking maybe 6 meters from me. Tried listening to my recording both through my laptop's speakers and an earphone with similar results. Any advice on what to fix or adjust?
