I have the exact same problem, right ear just fell off after just a few months, really hoping I can get a replacement headset as this is completely unacceptable, I’ve had my corsair void rgb wireless since 2018 and they’re still fully functioning with extremely little wear and tear around the padding bought for half the price of these ones

I had an old set of Blackshark V1s lying around (battery life went to nil after a couple years) and I was curious if I could replace/repair the hinges on my V2 using the brackets from the V1.

You can’t, though, because the V1 design is different.  On the V1, the wires holding the earpiece are the same wires going through the headband - they just extend through the plastic bracket.  On the V2, the wires from both the cups and the band terminate in the bracket, which is the only thing holding it together.

The V2 seems deliberately designed to fail, in my opinion.  They knew how to build the V1 for durability and made a seemingly arbitrary decision to simply not do that on the V2.

Hey people, try to force yourself to solve the problem.

I think the original plastic part is poorly designed in terms of bending strength. My solution was simple because I don't want to wait for warranty stuff… search for nerd solutions 😁

  1. Download this model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6730360
  2. Search for someone, who can print it by 3D printer (PLA)
  3. Buy screws on local market
  4. Remove damaged part and replace it by this 3D printed part

The lesson for the next purchase of something is.. I should mainly find negative reviews on the Internet and then decide whether to buy it. But despite the mentioned problem, I really like these headphones, they have a great sound and microphone and that's exactly why I invested the time in it.

And this results..investment of aproximately 10 USD and 1 hour of my energy.. this will last much longer than the original plastic..

Love the fix :)

And IMO it’ll be way better than original.

My bracket exploded from both sides, but one side really busted and caused the cup to be dangling.

Warranty was rejected, Razer offers no replacement parts.

Paid local person to 3D print the bracket like @pulseBurlywood882 suggested, worked flawlessly.

Last time of my life i’m buying a Razer headset. It’s so badly designed. Found the spare part on aliexpress, but it broke again, for the third time, two time with Razer regular part, and one time with aliexpress one, while i’m doing super careful with the headset cause I already know the ussie.

This blackshark V2 is good, the plastic part maintining the thing is the worst. I’ve seen first range price headset being more sturdy than this, costing 10 time more. What a shame.

Oh man, why didn’t I find this post before. I literally just shipped my broken headsets to Razer to get it RMA.

I have a 3D printer at home, this would be the best solution and great fix. Thanks for sharing.

Well, what do you say …

Yesterday, the right hinge on my replacement headset has broken. This time, the only the screw-holding part broke directly around the screw.

If your headset is still on warranty - then I’d still try to RMA it.

I’ve given in, the right side earphone has lost it’s tension even with ducktape and super glue to support it and it’s irritating to wear. For £70 I expect a bit of trust I can’t believe they copped out and used some cheap plastic, whenever I see the name Razer that will mean avoid.
