Windows 11 reset resulted in missing drivers and unrecognized GPU | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

I received the razer blade 14 (2024) a couple of days ago and everything worked fine, except for the fact that I could not upgrade to windows 11 pro. After consulting with a Microsoft Technician, they advised to do a factory reset.

After the reset, the wifi drivers were gone so I was unable to complete the windows installation as usual. After finding a way around this issue, all kinds of drivers are missing. The Nvidia gpu was not detected in device manager, manual installation of drivers failed and geforce experience did not recognize it. Only after extracting the .exe file and pointing directly to the driver, I got it to work. But now my audio stopped working and every time I start a video or song, it keeps loading.

Is there a way to get the actual factory settings back or do I have to find every problem along the way and fix the drivers in that manner?

Personally I’d just download clean Windows 11 iso directly from microsoft, and do clean install (format drive, install clean system).

Or you can download Razer recovery image from: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/self-help/recovery-image/index

@FiszPL , thanks for your reply. Wouldnt those options also give problems with the drivers? As I have made a recovery image with the creation tool from Microsoft, and that gave the same result.

Recovery image? You’ve created a new recovery image via system and tried to recover it again? That might not work.

As said - clean install or download Razer’s OS recovery image (easier option - because all drivers should be installed).
