Wireless mouse disabling keyboard shortcuts

I have a Razer Basilisk Ultimate mouse, Ducky Shine 5 keyboard, and a Level1Techs KVM. The KVM is configured to have keyboard shortcuts to change to each PC. While my mouse is hard wired into the KVM, everything works normally. However, if I switch to using the charging dock with the dongle inserted, after a few minutes the keyboard short cuts for the KVM stop working. So far no amount of reinstalling Synapse or drivers have resolved the issue. If I restart the KVM, it will work for a few minutes before failing again. Once switch to wired, there are no problems. Any idea what might be happening?

It's possible that your switch can't handle multiple loads and causes your device to underpower when the charging dock is part of your setup. Does that same behavior happen when using the mouse while the charging dock is plugged in directly to your computer?

The answer may have been so simple I never thought of it. I originally only had Synapse installed on my personal PC, but not on my work laptop. For the last hour after installing Synapse on the laptop as well, I am able to switch freely. I'll be able to test it more extensively tomorrow though.

After playing with it some more today, the issue is still present after making sure Synapse is installed on both machines. During my brief testing last night, I didn't notice issues with the dock plugged into my home PC... but that also seems unlikely to be the full problem. The mouse itself appears to work correctly and so does the keyboard when switching with the physical button on the KVM. If it was an underpowered situation, I would think that one of the devices would not connect at all rather than a couple shortcuts not working. From the level1techs forums, there was mention of some mice/keyboards switching out of HID mode messing up the shortcuts. Is that something that could be happening here? And if so, why only when using the dock wirelessly.
