recently bought the white v3 pro , already had the black one, been using them wirelessly without an issue,(on synapse 3) then used the white one for a few days using the cable for the faster response time, going back to dongle .. it connects for about 2 seconds then just turns off , after wasting ages trying to figure it out i grabbed my black one, which i could see has 50% battery .. works fine plugged in, again as soon as I put in the black dongle and turn it on, stays on for 2 seconds then turns off .. is this a synapse glitch as never had this problem with synapse 3? was getting ready to return my white one but now seeing both of mine doing it, on 2 different pcs , this is not a ME or one controller problem , about to uninstall synapse 4 and see if it makes any diff . Anyone else having this issue that was able to fix it ?

Ok didnt think to test this before but just checked in xbox series X and exactly the same thing, dongle in, controller on, xbox flashes as it detects it for a split second then controller turns itself off again …

Please tell me i dont have $600+ worth of controllers here that now will never work wirelessly ? has to be a firmware issue .. can we roll firmware back ?>

I had this problem with my controller I got a few weeks ago and fixed it with some troubleshooting. I realized if I spammed the buttons the controller would stay connected so I tried to check my Windows Energy Saver settings which were completely disabled. I then decided to try to spam the buttons and look through the Synapse 4 settings for any solution. Found the Power settings with the title CONTROLLER_POWER_SAVING_DESC and noticed nothing was selected on that page so I changed it to 60. Completely fixed my problem. Somehow Razer had bricked my controller by setting the Power Saving mode to 0. Hopefully this helps anyone with a similar problem.

Confirmed this worked for me on Aug 02, 2025. Connected controller via the cable, opened Razer Synapse, went to the controller settings and went to Power which only had the “CONTROLLER_POWER_SAVING_DESC” setting like buzz said. Selected 60 and it started working fine after that.

I tried this but Synapse 4 would not allow me to select any of the power-off time settings.  I clicked all of them and none would select.  So I was unable to change that setting.  So, I decided to reset to factory defaults to see if that removed the read-only behavior I was seeing for the power-off timeout setting.  This worked!  If you attach the controller via USB cable, select the recognized device on the dashboard, and execute a “reset to factory defaults” via the RESET button on the help page (click the question mark on top right of device window) Synapse will allow you to select any of the timeout settings.  Changed mine to 60 and everything is back to normal.

There might be a bug in Synapse 4 here.  Before factory reset, I was able to change other settings, such as lighting - going from static to dynamic, so the device could be modified, just not the power-off timeout setting.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot! This worked for me, had to restore my settings but it’s just a few minutes.

Annoying but at least nothing is wrong with the battery, at first I thought it stopped holding a charge which would be way worse...
