Hi! Basically the title... I would like to request that a feature is added to limit the maximum charge on the laptop to <100% to preserve battery lifespan.

If you are using a modern RAZER Blade, hope the following link helps you~~~

I have a Razer Blade 15 Base model 2021 😕 It's annoying how it works only for the blade 16 and blade 18 of 2023

There is a Windows software called Battery Limiter developed by RobotOnFire

Click the following link~~~
https://www.robotonfire.com/bl/

I don't have the knowledge of all its features and functions, but you can set an alert to alarm you once the Battery has reached the prescribed percentage level.

Few downsides of the software

  • The alarm is very annoying
  • The battery continues to recharge, even though it has reached your prescribed level

The only reason i see here is how toxic Razer is to Push this to their 2023 models again Clownshin Knowing well Enough it’s 2018;2019;2020;2021;2022 models are the ones mostly affected so Razer allow this to all your laptos don’t be a cringe worthy company.. 🤡🤡🤡

+1. This feature is absolutely needed!
I Just doubt that it is easy to implement it to older models the way it is implemented in the new ones. The system needs to communicate with the charging electronics to stop charging. This means, you would most likely need a new battery with this feature so…. Not mentioning natural battery degrading when you leave it plugged in on any
charging level.
I’m going quite well so far by caring for my battery just a bit. Cycling it once in a while, elevate the laptop a bit to improve cooling while gaming, cleaning dust from vents to prevent unnecessary venting and switching off the power supply when I know I’m not going to use the laptop any time soon - easy as that. You can also check your battery status through tools like HWMonitor to see what’s going on.

But I would also opt in for the possibility to buy spare batteries for older devices at Razer to swap worn ones by yourself :) In times of ifixit and youtube, even my 14year old cousin managed to change his iPhone battery by himself.

I was just wondering about this and am disappointed that it’s only on the newer models… I’ll just ride out my current Razer laptop and wait till it dies lol :(
