Profile Management

I'm new with a Blackwidow and plan on using it for flight simulator. Some if the stuff I'm saying below is my understand and I hope I'm wrong and wish to be corrected. So Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I unboxed it last night and built my first profile. Easy … until I got back to the PC this morning and Synapse kept rebooted my keyboard. I read this thread (/synapse-3-rebooting-keyboard-every-few-seconds.50344/ ) and see it doesn't like one macro set to two keys. OK, my mistake, lesson learned. I also built my profile without signing into the Razor cloud and my profile apparently didn't save to my PC. The guy on chat tech support said as much, the profile doesn't automatically save to the PC, only the cloud. You can manually export to the PC (which leaves stuff out of the profile) but it doesn't save to the PC.

He was very helpful to get me going and I created a default profile that did go to the cloud and I was able to pull it back (yea). I exported a profile and prought it back in so that was good. But as I have two profiles loaded, I have duplicated macors, one from the profile on the cloud, and one from the profile I imported.

The profile I imported wasn't linked to any game. (Bummer). Another thing I'm noticing them is I can't close a profile. the only option seems to be to delete the profile... Delete from the Cloud???

As a person that designs workflows (some of which includes workflows involving software design) for a living, this doesn't see logical. So I hope I'm misunderstanding what I have see so far. Please set me straight.

My plan for the Blackwidow is to set up two profiles. One profile will be for small planes and another profile for large planes. There will be similarity between the two but I have two GPS units available and although they have the same function, they will need different keystrokes to invoke the GPS feature. So I expected to be able to close one profile, and open another.

If I'm understanding what I'm seeing, I will need to build one profile for small planes and manually export it to the PC. Then build the large plane profile and Export that. after flying a small plane, I need to delete that profile and import the large plane profile.. Because the link to the game doesn't store with the export, I need to relink the game to the profile. When I go back to small planes, I delete the large plane profile and reimport the small plane, and then relink to the game.

Does this sound about right? It doesn't to me, so anyone with more experience with the Synapse software please come to the rescue.

Thanks, Mark
