I also have this problem since the last update. Nothing works.

reinstalled from razer website didnt work, then modify in the razer install menu, it updated and now works fine

THIS worked now after 4 days, went to “Add or Remove Programs” through Windows search, found Synapse, hit modify or uninstall to open the Razer Installer, then hit Modify and apply the update through there. Opened instantly after.

was it version was it before is it work?

Same problem here!

Tried doing a clean install with an earlier version of synapse. It’s working so far, but for some reason my Basilisk and Barracuda isn’t appearing in my list of devices. Though they’re still functional. Seems like a good temporary fix while Razer hopefully sorts this out.

After installation and launching, you’ll need to disable the automatic update by right-clicking the synapse icon and go into Settings.

Dude I can not begin to thank you. I’ve gone through every fix possible. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled over 20 times probably in the last 3 days. I finally have all my DPI settings with my Deathadder Elite available again. Not to mention everything else.

Seriously… Thank you so much.

Can Confirm as of 10:22pm EST 3-03-23 this worked for me.

Did not work for me. After a fresh install from website, splash screen starts and stays on screen until I hover over the toolbar icon (bottom-right) and icon/splash screen disappears. I expand hidden icons and icon disappears. I have attempted to “repair “ multiple times with no change. I have attempted to “modify”, adding crap I don’t want (chroma), still does not work.

It works now. Just modify in the uninstall menu and it’ll get fixed

Is everything back to normal now?

Just downloaded the new version that people are talking about here, still the same issue. No fix yet.

Edit: Modified Synapse from Apps & Features from Window Search bar, The central service updated, and now it’s working!

Still not working here, did the modify from an older version, did a complete clean reinstall with the newest version. No matter which way I try to update (even just the automated update when I didn’t catch it before it started running that) it goes into the loop of booting over and over again.

Worked for me too. After I installed old version, it stopped crashing. I updated after to the latest version and it’s fine now.

No longer boot loops, instead just freezes and disappears. Does this on startup and when opening manually.

This older version works just fine. As soon as I update it crashes again. So until they fix new one I am using this older one.

I also have the same problem, despite a clean installation the icon disappears when I pass my mouse over it.

Hello! I’m new to this community. So, I wanted to help in some way. This issue had me on nerve for the past 4 days. I did a 2-steps solution so far and hope I can help in some way or another. (Note that this might not work for everyone). A little backstory before we dive in: This worked for me when I bought my new Cynosa V2. I have a friend who luckily didn’t update their Synapse recently (avoiding the cesspool of a mess we have rn) and I asked for a copy of their Razer folders to test things out. I transferred said files to their locations and viola! It worked. However, it was a buggy mess than what I had before. I just dealt with it since it’s better than nothing for the past 2 days. Then, my new Cynosa V2 keyboard arrived and I love it! (don’t judge me, I like how the membrane feels). I plugged it in and hope it’ll work. It did work. However, Synapse isn’t detecting it. Then, I opened Razer Central to see Synapse just automatically updating itself??! After that, it installed itself normally. For some reason, my Razer Synapse is up-to-date and IT IS WORKING?! So yeah, idk what happened but it seems it fixed itself with my Cynosa V2’s driver installing itself and forcing Synapse to update to the latest version. Thank you for listening to my little adventure.

1st solution I did was copy a friend’s copy of Synapse’s folders: mainly in Program Files (x86), go to Razer > copy Razer Services & Synapse3 folders (their version is before the latest update). Then, transfer those folders to their corresponding file location on your side. Be sure to turn off everything that’s related to Razer in your task manager before you start the file transfer. Congrats! You have Synapse working again. A bit of warning to avoid this problem in the future once you finish these steps, make sure to turn off auto-update in your settings. Just left click the icon tray in your taskbar and you’ll see the settings option.

2nd solution is quite a wild card, though. Not sure if it’ll work for everyone, but here: First, do a complete uninstall of all your drivers related to Razer. Then, uninstall Synapse. After that, open CMD in admin mode and do sfc /scannow. Be sure to remove all folders related to Razer too. If you don’t know how, refer to a comment from Vermillion Kingpin in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDFzcljkOsg . After that, restart your PC in advance startup mode. Once in the advance startup menu, open CMD again and do another sfc /scannow. The reason why you need to do this twice because sometimes it doesn’t detect corrupted/missing files/registry when you’re using your PC. If it detects problems with your PC and it needs to restart, continue to Windows and it’ll automatically do its thing. After that, this is the important step: DO NOT INSTALL RAZER SYNAPSE 3 INSTALLER from their website. Here’s how you do it. Download an old installer and install Synapse from there. After that, it should be working again. For some reason, Razer Services just stops working/connecting to their servers when you try to update Synapse, causing an endless loop, of Synapse starting up and failing and starting, it seems.

Hope I can help, have a good one!

Update works now, thank you.👍

Update works now, thank you.👍 already fixed?

still no works for me, 4 days already :(

Is there already a solution?

What I’ve already tried:

  • Clean install 3 days ago, 2 days ago and yesterday
  • Clean install with 2 older versions
  • Clean install with the current version (04.03.2023 15:00 MET)

I still have the issue that razer synapse starts, freezes and the small green icon in the taskbar vanishes as soon as my mouse comes near it.

Same problem here!

But I have a solution: UNINSTALL RAZER SYNAPSE AND NEVER USE IT AGAIN!!!!!!

Thank me later for the Tip

I mean I was trying to get it to work for 6 hours staight now and i just need to say that nothing worked and i probably should just give up by now and never use Razer again!

If someone can help me pls answer under the post! Thank you very much!

I am experiencing some problems with Razer Synapse since the latest update I installed today. See bullet points below:

  • Razer splash screen is showing as expected when I start my PC
  • When I mouseover the green Synapse logo in the taskbar, the logo disappears (seems that the app is crashing upon mouseover)
  • Razer Synapse 3, Razer Synapse Service, and Razer Synapse Servoce Process are all showing up as running in task manager even after mouseover in previous point
  • When I attempt to launch Synapse manually, the taskbar icon re-appears, only to disappear again upon mouseover. RInse and repeat.
  • My mouse macros ARE working, even after taskbar mouseover
  • My keyboard macros ARE NOT working, both before and after taskbar mouseover

Mine wouldn't even update. My pc asked me a million times if I was okay with it making changes to device, then synapse says it failed to start. Crashed my pc a couple times too. I uninstalled it and trying to reinstall it, but crashes my pc or the application fails to respond.

Same problem here, lol. Updated yesterday, today my program won’t even open.
