Synapse keeps logging me out randomly for the past few months. At first, it was not a big deal. It happened only when I restarted my PC. But lately it keeps happening even when I am doing something...

I am browsing the internet ? Logout.

I am watching movie with friends ? Logout.

I am playing online game, and I am in a middle of shoot-out ? Logout.

You never expect when it happens. It is just tiresome at this point. Anything I try to do, do not work. Repairing did not fix the problem ( Clean installation of Synapse did not work. At this point, I wonder if uninstalling it is not the best option here. I will wait for a fix to this problem. Thank you in advance for your help and response.

Exactly the same problem as above. Has been happening sporadically for about a month. Luckily I only have a Razr mouse and it works without Synapse, but it’s very irritating as things like speed don’t show up on screen. ‘Keep me logged in’ is checked but randomly it still asks for a log in (like this morning) and sometimes will not start any Razr software at all on start up. Once even task manager failed to kick it off. I’ve not re-installed, and it seems like that isn’t going to help either.
If Razr don’t fix this soon maybe it’s time to ditch the Razr mouse. The old one is getting a bit worn anyway and I can find another make that doesn’t need constant logging in.

Right now, as of Jun 21, 2023, the issue is, in fact, NOT RESOLVED. Even after checking that I truly have the very latest update. Are you kidding me?

Think I have a solution. My razer cortex and synapse was logging me out every 10 minutes and has been doing this for a while now. I think now its because it was out of date or the old update is broken. To work around this go to “apps and features” and select “uninstall” (Dont worry you wont have to uninstall it). Following this it brings up the options for uninstalling it through the razer software and this inclusdes the option to simply update it. Once I logged in after this it seems to be working fine and has not logged me out yet. It logged me in instantly to after I restarted my computer too. I dont know if this is a long term fix but it seems to have worked so far. If you cant use your synapse for more than 10 minutes at a time its worth a shot.

same thing keeps happening to me. It went from once every week or so to daily to now happening every few hours. 

What login mechanism are the rest of you using? I logged in using Google signin, and on startup the “Welcome Back” dialog shows my username and Google profile picture. It shows a password entry control below that, and when I click on my profile, it demands that I enter a password. I don’t have a separate password, I only used my Google login to authenticate -- it shouldn’t be showing me a password entry control at all.


If I click “Not You” and re-authenticate via Google again, I can get into the app. Every other app where I use Google auth, it caches the auth tokens and doesn’t make me refresh the login on every app launch.

I was having the same problem. I managed to fix it by opening Task Manager and Ending all task related to razer. Then I stared them back up and they seem to be working again.

It's still months after that so called "update" and it ​​​​STILL logging me and multiple other people out. I'm never buying razer products again. 

I have been having this issue ever since I switched to Windows 11 and it is really annoying when I just want my keyboard settings to work with diablo 4.


It even logged me out while writing this post.

I’m getting logged out every 30 seconds!

It’s clearly a software issue at this point. To many people with the exact same issue, myself included, happening a lot for the past month or so. A patch is needed to fix it.

This works for me, but I have to do it a few times a week. It doesn’t completely fix the issue, just fixes it on the current occurrence. Having to go through this so often is just annoying at this point. Today it took 2 resets across 10 minutes to finally get stuff working.

Razer please go back to how it used to be! I’m crippled by using your mouse but can’t open synapse! None of my keybinds work and logging in does nothing, it just wants me to log in over and over. I need a reliable product.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing the same problem. The dev team recently released an update to address this issue. Please make sure to keep your Synapse app up to date.

I’m also having the same issue. This happens every few months for nearly three years now. Early on it was only a couple of logouts per week, now it’s logging out every hour or so. Though, today it has logged me out nearly 6 times per hour (roughly every ten minutes give or take.)

Every few months when this problem arises I back up all of my settings and completely reinstall all of their software. It has only been a successful solution a small handful of times. So it’s very likely coincidence that it worked at all, and unlikely that it is a real fix.

Currently, I’m on a completely different PC build from when it first started, along with different Razer equipment, and the issue still occurs. So this whole situation is definitely a reflection of Razer’s poor software quality and a great example of how little care they give to the concerns of their consumer base. Remember, this issue has been happening off and on for nearly three years. In fact, it was the reason why I moved on from Synapse 2 and upgraded my equipment. I don’t regret purchasing the new equipment entirely, but I do resent Razer and their lack of communication with issues such as this. Like most companies these days, they know they don’t have to do much customer service because options for quality products are limited. It’s very likely they are aware of the issue and have put it on the back burner, opting to address other issues instead. All that being said though, as someone who has been nearly exclusively Razer in the past, I’ll likely move on from their products in the near future. There’s no use in having an expensive mouse, keyboard, and headset if I can’t fully utilize my settings along with them. 

Note: This is not a post just to rant about Razer, but a real problem when gaming. When it logs out, I get tabbed out of certain games if I’m playing in full screen. So you could imagine how this sort of bug could be a serious problem.

Same here. Tried everything. Also reinstalled. Worked for a few hours and then logged me out again. Razer needs to fix this i guess

For me i’m trying to log in Razer appengine and when i do log in it instantly logs me out


yes i am also having this issue and even worse it has affected my razar kraken v3 hypersense, no matter what, when i turn off my pc and next time i turn it on. the headset lights up however it is not even recognized as a headset and audio comes through speakers. have to unplug and plug every time i boot up now. headset works completely fine and my usb outlets are fine because when i use the mouse and keyboard in that slot its fine. end of the day its not a major issue just tedious and annoying. and this only began a month ago when the app started logging me and not working on boot up of my pc. suprised after a month nothing has been fixed usually razar has their stuff sorted out pretty quick.

Having this same issue here. I booted the PC up, got to the desktop and it asks me to login to razer. I do so, then it just pops me right back and asks me to do it again. Over and over and over.

This is the App Engine by the way. Forgot to post this last time, so here it is now. I am also getting this message.



This started happening to me like a week ago - every time after rebooting i’m logged out and i have to re-enter my password - today it logged me out in the middle of watching a twitch stream?!

Why the f***** do my peripherals REQUIRE an internet connection anyways? It’s so dumb.

Same Problem, keeps logging me out and I need to end all razer tasks with the task manager to be able to log in again. My device settings are not working without software running (why?). Since I actually use custom key mappings, I just can’t play most games without.

Its getting worse on the last few months for me.

I can't even find the app on the Windows app list.

I do feel that all started after I’ve upgrade for Windows 11.


So Zero response from Razer here?
