synapse update now no more mixer at all

today i got an update for Synapse, Im now on version 3.8.103.110202,

 

Yesterday i could calibrate the thx in the mixer , but now , there are no mixer at all , it has a demo for the thx spatial sound but i cannot change where the back sound or left right etc …  am i the only one with that problem ? i tried to roll back to the previous version , but it didnt work. i feel like the sound quality went down as well.

 

Im using Blackshark v2 with usb sound card. 

 

anything else i need to do in order to be able to calibrate the surround the way i prefer it ?

The same problem with these same headphones, so far I have not found 1 normal way, I am waiting for a response from official support Razer has already transferred all the necessary data.

Regretting the fact that I accepted the update. Every game I play sounds trashy with my Blackshark V2 USB. Hope they release an explanation or fix soon.

Same problem with the same headphones! THX and other equalizer changes dont work. THX Spacial Audio in windows audio menu just dissapeared.

Yes, my current version of synapse is 3.8.1031.110202 i have talk to razer support and confirmed that they are pushing out an update version 3.8.1030.110202, i know the version number is lower from 1031 to 1030 which is weird.

Man that synapse thing is pissing me off lately, i have made new account just beacause that was the last hope for me, nothing changed. THX is gone, EQ doesnt work even a bit and the headphones sound like total garbage

I have the same problem with the Razer Nari Essential. I used to go to the mixer tab and select ‘Surround Sound’ on all apps, now I don’t have that option anymore and I have to endure the different audio I get from Razer even though I got used with the audio I kept hearing for 2 years since I have bought these headphones.

Just get an update to Synapse version 3.8.1031.110912 (In Razer Central ver.20231110), but EQ and THX Spatial Audio still doesnt work in Synapse App, lol. Also Spatial Audio still disappear in Windows Audio. Still waiting fix.

I’ve just updated to version 3.8.1031.110912. THX Spatial Audio still doesn’t show up in Windows audio but sound seems much better now and both the Equalizer and Enhancements seem to be working fine. My guess is, the selection between stereo and THX now happens internally in Synapse, that’s why we don’t see it as a separate device in Windows.

It is indeed intended and explicitly written in the patch notes of the update. And it is a way cleaner implementation than it was before in my humble opinion. That THX Processing "device" in Windows has always been a mess to deal with in the first place and a source of bugs and confusion.

Also annoying was the fact that the "device" was kind of reinstalled from scratch everytime it was updated with Synapse. I've seen it change, and change in its behaviours, an uncountable number of times in the past year, and that was nothing like ideal, nothing like a finished, stable feature you can set up once and forget.

Now the toggle is directly in Synapse and that's it.

Now (again), there are maybe downsides or things that are not working as they should, I don't know, I don't use THX anyway, never use enhanced sound processing of any kind (except for testing, thus why I can speak about it) because I don't see the point (except for competitive games maybe) and it usually just sounds bad, but for my use, so THX aside, everything I tested is working properly just as before.

Hi guys,

Just bought Razer Nari Ultimate, and from every review I saw, there was an option "MIXER" within the Razer Synapse to calibrate the THX spatial sound.

So when I initially downloaded the synapse and pluged in the Naris for the first time ever, no mixer showed up, only a toogle between Stereo or THX. Is this also that issue you are experiencing?

EQs for me a working okay. Bass boosta etc also. But I am missing that option to calibrate the spatial sound. Kinda pisses me off, as I was specificaly switching to Razer, because on Corsair you cant calibrate a $h1t also..
