Help with turning LEDs off on a charging Naga Pro

Hi, I've recently purchased the Razer Naga Pro, and while I enjoy the lighting while I'm using it, I'd rather not have them on while I try to sleep. I can't find an option to turn them off when I've turned off my computer. I've looked around a fair bit for solutions, the main two repeated being either turning off the USB power while PC is off and Synapse 3's "Switch off lighting: when display is off". Neither work for me, as I need the mouse to charge, and Synapse's settings only work if the mouse is not docked. Has anyone found a solution for this issue? Thanks.

Hi there! Thanks for posting your inquiry here. Just to confirm, does the issue only happens when the mouse is connected to your computer's USB port? Ensure that your Razer Synapse is updated. Else, please clean reinstall your Razer Synapse by following the steps on this link and see if it helps.

For confirmation,

• If the mouse is turned on (via switch), but isn't connected to anything (No wireless dongle & not docked on Razer Mouse Dock Chroma), it turns off when the Synapse setting is selected.
• If it is docked, regardless of the state of the dongle, or whether the mouse is turned on or off, the lighting persists.
• This is obvious, but if the dock itself is unplugged, then the mouse behaves as if it wasn't docked.

I've clean reinstalled Synapse, and it did not help. I've also tried it with it uninstalled. Just restating, but I'm looking to have all led lights off when the mouse is turned on, docked, and charging, regardless of whether the computer is on or off. I do not want the color/battery indicator breathing chroma effect.

Thanks for clearing that up. You can disable the Chroma lighting of your device by toggling off the brightness option under the Razer Synapse lighting tab. However, when the Razer Synapse is closed or disable, your devices will display its default Chroma lighting which is breathing effect. By the way, how are you turning off your computer? Are you putting the laptop on hibernate/sleep or shutting it down completely? When the device is docked or connected via a wired connection, you can shut your computer down or unplug the mouse and ensure that the mouse slider button is switched off. The same goes for when the device is connected to your computer via wireless, if the computer is turned off, switch the slide button off.

I shut down my computer normally; I don't cut power to it, nor disable power through bios/settings. The wireless dongle remains plugged in, and mouse isn't connected via wired cable. The mouse slider didn't affect anything as far as I could see. Thankfully, your advice to simply turn off the LEDs via the Brightness switch in Synapse 3 works to partially resolve my problem, as fortunately (unlike what you've stated) the LEDs do not turn back on/return to its default Chroma lighting when Synapse 3 and my PC are off. Ex: PC is shut down/off, but the USB port/Dock is powered. Mouse charges, but after turning "Brightness" off in Synapse, the LEDs no longer breathe their annoying default effect. :) This leads me to believe that Synapse updates the onboard storage to keep lights off even if it was charging on the dock? I suppose you couldn't tell me a way to edit that/change the default Chroma lighting effect? If not, while it is frustrating to be unable to edit the LED behavior, and even moreso to use Synapse 3 at every start and every end of every session, I should nevertheless thank you for getting to me in a timely manner with a solution that works. Oh! You're welcome. Thanks for clearing it up. This post will fall as a feature request. And yes, the default Chroma lighting can't be altered on every devices since it is manufactured that way. Also, as long as the device is charging, without the Razer Synapse in the background, it will show the default lighting effect.
