How do you delete the key up portion of a macro that Synapse puts there automatically on a key down?

Recording a key down event also puts a key up event in the macro. This is no good for a "active while held" function regardless of the "play once" type choices you pick. Is there any way to delete the key up line without it also deleting the key down portion. Others have reported this but I couldn't chime in on that chat due to restrictions - does anything work correctly for this company? - I'm on my fourth device trying to find a solution.
