I'm experiencing the same issue with my headset. Could someone please advise if there's a fix for this problem? I'm unable to downgrade Razer Synapse since it automatically downloads the latest version from the internet. Does anyone know where I can find a full downloadable version of an older Razer Synapse where the microphone was functioning properly?

Updates...

Yup….using discord browser does eliminate the low mic volume. My friend manage to lower his side back down to 100% and still able to hear me loud and clear.

I also tested using a 3rd party 3.5mm mic boom(using discord app) assuming the mic was faulty...but same effect. After randomly fiddling around, i found out that the mic volume would auto lower itself even at max volume.

I manage to replicate it just by sliding the volume slider on razer synapes from 0% back up to 100% and listen(through discord mic test) as my voice goes from loud to barely there at max 100% volume.

Also manage to replicate the same effect just by toggling the mute button on and off and my mic volume goes from loud to barely there.

Some kind of fuckery is going on. Fix your shit RAZER!!!

anyone find a solution?

Guys, the volume dial ALSO CONTROLLS THE MICROPHONES VOLUME. Now me writing this in caps is not blaming you, but rather Razer for making dumb design like this. Now that you know this, make sure you turn down your system’s or game’s volume for the sake of your own ears… I hope somebody still notices my comment, cuz this issue is ridiculous

Hello Everyone,

I have been having this same issue and besides the Volume knob I believe I have found the solution at least for Windows 11 I don’t know if this can be done/how to do it on windows 10.

“Win + i” to open up the settings

System>Sound

Under “Input” click on “Microphone Razer Kraken V3 Pro”

Under “General” Verify Audio is set to “Allow”

Under “Input”

Format: “1 Channels, 16 Bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)

Audio Enhancements: OFF

This I believe is not a Razer Issue… This is a Microsoft default Setting Issue. After I did this all my friends told me not to mess with it anymore because it was now perfect. This should not Disable THX on your Headset Jut eliminate extra Unnecessary sound processing from your Mic Input.

If this helped please Like & reply so other can find this. I haven't seen anyone mention this anywhere so hopefully this is the solution to our problems.

I sent back my headphone to Amazon as defective and bought a Steelseries. No problem at all now.

Same with my Ornata keyboard, also defective with ESC button.

I was a Razer fanboy, the product are really low on last years.

Any updates about this?

Now bought Kraken 3 pro, and now everyone says I'm hard of hearing.

I set the volume to maximum everywhere.

I am also having this issue right now with the Kraken V3 Pro….so frustrating and im looking about to try and find a fix somehow and will try to update this if I can or can not find a fix

FOUND A FIX FOR IT

I tried doing it through windows and Razer Synapse using both version 3 and 4 (newest versions as right writing) and got nothing HOWEVER I DID that if you open the Steam app → then go to the top left → then go to settings → on left hand drop down menu go to voice → and then proceed to crank the gain up on the sliders to increase the volume past 5% or less from before to actually being able to be heard when speaking loudly → also tested this with the Discord app open (microphone was already maxed out in discord before this fix and didnt help much) and Steam open...it DOES boost the microphone level in Discord so this is a work around but NOT a fix and I suggest if you haven’t already then go over to their customer support on their page and get in touch with an agent there to see if they know of something or a solution for yourself…..at the very least if there is not a fix on their end then maybe the problems being sent to them again may get them to make a patch for it / get Windows (Microsoft) to make a fix for it if its their fault

ALSO A TIP

its definitely not a bad idea to take off the wind sock on the microphone and make sure that the flat side of the microphone is pointed directly at you and in front of your mouth as well (you should be able to see it in your peripheral vison then get it as close as you can without touching your lips or hearing you breathing into the microphone either :)
