Razer Game Manager Service

Razer Game Manager

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Razer Services\GMS\GameManagerService.exe"

I have 32Gib memory in my pc, and Razer Game Manager eat all the memory when I wake up.  I killed Razer Game Manager service and the memory went down.

I disabled the service, then Razer Synapse 3 refused to start up.

Please fix the memory leak bug, thanks!

There is definitely a massive, fast-consuming memory leak in GameManagerService, and it likely won’t be fixed anytime soon.  Probably will try out that one reply’s answer to get it disabled, but this is atrocious software design, there, Razer.

What I want to find out is why does it use 25-30% of my CPU when I've got nothing but that app running? This is genuinely ridiculous. I own everything Razer and now I'm very tempted to go elsewhere. The data consumption the app has which is dodgy AF as is, and now this. I do want to know what they are doing and why they need to send so much data and use so much CPU power... there's 0 reason for it to run a couple of RGB lights.

when you planned to give us an optimized program without spyware razer ?

So that is one anecdotal report of a memory leak in version 2.2.160.113.

I have version 2.3.160.119 (2023.02.10) and it seems fine.

It uses 49.3 Mb of memory and no cpu when idle.

Hi, anybody are going crazy with synapse software which is eating 500Mo and 30% processor use just having some lights on my razer products ?

is this really normal ?

When razer will update this product ?

I try to kick gamaemanagerservice but after nothing works correctly.

Hi any easy way to disable in the razer software all the garbage we don’t need and which makes computer running slowwwwwwwwwwww ???

Simple fix for me has been to just disable the game manager and remove RS3’s dependency completely.

First Remove game managers dependency from RS3

  • Hit windows-key+R and type in "regedit". Afterward, press enter.
  • Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Razer Synapse Service"
  • Remove "Razer Game Manager Service" from "DependendOnService" by double-clicking it and then removing that name.
  • (You might have to restart in order for the changes to take effect)

Then

  • Hit windows-key+R and type in "services.msc". Afterward, press enter.

  • Find "Razer Game Manager"

  • Right-click and then click on "settings"

  • Change "start type" to "disabled"

  • Also, hit "stop"

Again I advise you also restart your PC after to make sure its all sorted, I also used an app called ‘Process Lasso’ to move ALL razer software's affinity to 2 cores and limited them to ‘normal’ CPU usage to stop razer just hogging the whole system whenever it feels like

So sad seeing Razer fall from grace with the trash software recently.
