I’m having the same issue. It just stands there and i can’t do anything or change any settings in Synapse. Tried to contact support but its always redirects me to the choose a contact method page. Can’t submit a ticket can’t open live chat.

Please fix this

For the past 6 months, this issue has been more present than absent. 
I feel like it’s been months since I’ve been able to actually utilize the software of my several hundred dollar headset to actually enable the features I bought Razer to have.

Every day this issue remains unresolved is a day I regret buying a razer headset. My good will and loyalty for razer is at an all time low and sinking.

My headset has incorrect audio settings and i cannot change them since this popup appeared. Can i return my headset as faulty?

Can someone who works at razer comment on this? Like will this be fixed or do i throw this headset in the trash? 

Same problem here, I have only Razer Headphones as def audio and mic in windows and this message still pop up. I cant do shit there is no other active device I uninstalled all realtek drivers and others… There is only RAZER BLACK SHARK PRO 2023 AS DEFAULT DEVICE and this stupid program still telling me I should set it as default. I cant change EQ nothing work. 250e headset with software like piece of crap

i have the same problem. i have set razer blackshark v2 pro as default device but synapse always popping up this advice. every changes you make after the click con SET AS DEFAULT has no consequence on the pc. Also the mic of the razer v2 pro is very very low and in every game people can’t hear me like i’m in a cave. i’m going insane to resolve these problems. 

can you PLEASE UPDATE THIS`?????!!!

I’M having the same issue, It lowered my headset volume and I got my synapse configuration locked the same way as described above!

one year since this issue had been encountered and still no fix
just got my blackshark v2 SE, everytime i open synapse im greeted by “Set  ‘Razer USB Sound Card’ as default output device to configure its audio settings on Razer Synapse” and although it IS set as default and i have no other output devices available anyway, clicking the big green “SET AS DEFAULT”  button does nothing but pop-out the same thing again and again and if i for example connect my dualsense controller the ps5 one and switch to it as the default output device clicking the said big green button will indeed set razer sound card as default but then it’d reappear and ask me to set it to default again to change any setting which is frustrating

Update: I just uninstalled synapse which apparently was synapse 3 and installed the latest synapse software which is 4 i restarted the pc too and it seems to have fixed the issue im no longer asked to set anything as default probably because it can clearly detect that it already is set as default so i would guess it was perhaps a synapse 3 issue? anyways if anyone finds this reply and shares the same issue i had half an hour ago maybe try uninstalling synapse 3 and install synapse 4 it also has synapse 3 profile migration so you dont have to worry about losing your profiles. hope this helps!

how embarrassing for this company… Same here. even though i open a ticket for this bug. They replied months later and says downgrade2 synapse3.. shame..
