Razer Synapse Refuses to Stop Checking for Updates

I have gone into SETTINGS... SOFTWARE UPDATES... and turned off the toggle for "Automatically check for updates." And yet the software continues to notify me that updates are available, including automatically opening the Razer Central screen to the Apps tab with the updates available listed. I don't want to be nagged or reminded in any way about updates... I want to manually check for updates and install them on my own time table. Razer Synapse version 3.4.331.31119.
