Razer Tartarus Pro Keys Not Registering

I have a brand new Razer Tartarus Pro and with the key binds set to default a lot of them don’t do anything in Call of Duty. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Synapse and unplugged the Tartarus and plugged it back in and nothing has worked. When I first plugged it in the left and right movement keys wouldn’t work but then the right movement key started working for some reason but the left movement key and every other key don’t do anything.

I had the same issue, here is what I did.

Fix for Razer Tartarus Not Working Properly

If you're having issues with your Razer Tartarus and Razer support hasn’t been helpful, try this method:

Step-by-Step Solution

  1. Uninstall All Razer Software

    • Go to Control Panel > Programs & Features and remove all Razer software.
  2. Manually Delete Razer Folders

    • Navigate to both:
      • C:\Program Files\Razer\
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\
    • Delete the Razer folders in each location.
  3. Restart Your Computer

    • Ensures all changes take effect.
  4. Install Razer Synapse 4

    • Download and install Synapse 4 from the official Razer website.
  5. Use Guest Mode (DO NOT Log In to Your Razer Account)

    • When prompted to log in, select Guest Mode instead of signing in.
  6. Connect and Configure in the Correct Order

    • First, plug in the Razer Tartarus and wait for it to be recognized.
    • Remap all keys on the Tartarus before connecting any other devices.
    • Once the Tartarus is fully configured, then plug in the Razer Ornata Chroma (or any other Razer keyboard).
  7. Remap Keys on the Ornata Chroma (If Needed)

    • At this point, you should also be able to remap keys on the Ornata Chroma.

This method ensures that Synapse correctly detects and configures the devices without conflicts. Hopefully, it helps you too! If you run into issues, try repeating the steps exactly.

I ended up buying an E-YOOSO half keyboard which worked fine straight out of the box but I’ll save your tips in case I use the Tartarus for other games so thanks!
