Silent mode not available when using USB-c charging

Any reason why we can’t choose silent mode when using USB-c charger?  Understand why I can’t go into custom, np, but a USB-c charger and silent mode seems perfectly reasonable.  Current state means it’s much quieter to use the full power PSU where I can choose silent mode again.

Thx!

Crickets here as usual. I can't think of any engineering reason for this. Someone was lazy in programming Synapse is my guess.

So, I had this problem “fixed” after I updated the PD firmware (https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/14682/~/razer-blade-18-%282023%29-pd-firmware-updater-%7C-rz09-0484x) to v0.09 (I have a 2023 Blade 18).

Before the update, USB-C (PD) charging was limited to 40W most of the time, and a shutdown/hibernate or sleep power cycle was required to get the charging going. After the update, I can measure up to 90W being drawn on the cable, while replugging into another USB-C port will continue the charging at the correct power level. In addition, all three modes seem to be available in Synapse (Balance, Silent, Custom).
