Hello everyone, I wanted to let you know that the problem seems to have been fixed. After testing according to several procedures from support (which I already tested before) the scroll wheel started working again. I suspect it has something to do with the latest update: Copied from my reply to support: When I wanted to uninstall Synapse before running the cleanup tool, the installer showed me that there was an update for Synapse available. This confused me, because I did not get an update notification from Synapse. So I aborted the uninstall and had Synapse check for updates, which it did not find! I then uninstalled Synapse anyway, ran the cleanup tool and reinstalled it. After installation I had Synapse check for updates again, which it did find and I installed. I'm currently running Synapse 3.7.1209.121307. Then I tested and found that the scroll wheel was working! Nevertheless I wanted to inform you about the inconsistency with Synapse offering or not offering updates. I'm posting the relevant section of the procedure from support here so others can try this as well. Please post here if it solves the problem for you too!:

  • Uninstall Synapse
  • Delete contents of Windows Temp folder
  • If possible, unplug all Razer devices (I did not unplug it, because I had no spare keyboard)
  • Reboot the system
  • Download the Razer Driver Clean Up Tool: https://rzr.to/7c7Za
  • Unzip and run the CleanupRazerDrivers.exe as Administrator
  • The window will close on its own. When it does, reboot the system again
  • Download and Install Synapse 3(run both installer and application as admin)
  • Plug in Razer devices
  • Update Synapse 3 as needed and reboot system as update requirement

Kind regards to you all!

you are a hero, mate, thanks a lot! <3

Hi Everyone!

IMPORTANT:
My fixes cover the models:
Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Yellow SW

&

Razer BlackWidow V4 LP HyperSpeed Wireless Low-Profile

Just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to both! @Zestje  & @Razer.Speedcr0ss
As I am (or rather WAS) ;) receiving the same fault across 2 HIGH end keyboard models
1. Was the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Yellow SW

Which only had the fault once I upgraded from Synapse 3.0 to Synapse 4.0 so I just force downgraded to 3.0 but I changed keyboards to the (see below) since I didn't like the keycap sizes and replacing them with low profile keys only change about 1-2mm *sigh*
So I don't know what I would have done after the forced upgrade this February BUT perhaps doing what I did with my LATEST keyboard would of fixed it!

LATEST Keyboard is:

Razer BlackWidow V4 LP HyperSpeed Wireless Low-Profile

I LOVE this keyboard and gives me the feel I was looking for
However this model ONLY works with Synapse 4.0 but the volume roller was working before and after synapse 4.0 installed so I thought I was safe
THEN less than 24 hours later (after the latest firmware upgrade) [days 2 of using it as well as its arrival]
I woke up to discover the same fault had chased me via models I lot volume control
but like others if I killed synapse the volume control would return
I heard from @Zestje  that uninstalling and reinstalling synapse fails to resolve the issue so I skipped that and when straight for the razer clean up driver batch script posted above!
After I ran that (via elevated admin privileges mind you!) ;)
It did indeed resolve the fault and return volume control to me!
Nice to see if I ever update synapse or what have you I have a quick resolution at my finger tips! ^_^
P.S. remapping volume control also fails to resolve the issue as it is purely a software fault communicating between synapse and windows.

So thank you guys sooooooo very much!!!
