Customer Support has now reached an all time low.

Previously a music program / video was opened, the Chroma Visualizer would activate and display the sound on the keyboard.  Very nice, very graphic.  This worked fine with Synapse 3, Synapse 4 Beta (both previous and current versions), as well as a previous version of SYnapse 4.  With the latest downgrade of Synapse 4 that has stopped - for me at least.  Now if the Visualizer option is active, it is permanently active - even when the “Enable for selected apps” option is selected.  It is not possible to make any amendments to the lighting via the Studio tab.

 

After raising this with Customer Support (Customer non-Support more like), I am eventually told by Lydia, that this is deliberate, and only when the Visualizer module is manually turned off.

 

So, Harris tells me that I either manually activate profiles for apps that they have decided to ignore, and Lydia tells me to manually activate/deactivate the Visualizer module on or off.  Why then do we have the possibility to link profiles and lighting effects to apps?  The software should make life better not worse.

Harris claims that Razer remains committed to improving their products and experience for the users.  How is this improving the experience?

I have had my experience improved so much that I am going with a rival company!

Am I annoyed, yes I am.  Probably since no-one has had the good sense to even apologise for their poor decision making.
