Problem with Razer Barracuda x Chroma in Synapse 4


My headphones instantly turn off with hyperspeed dongle after newest update of Razer Synapse 4. I tried turning off Synapse 4 and headset is working normally. Anyone else got same problem?

Hi there, I'm having the same issue right now. I bought the Razer barracuda x chroma a few weeks ago and everything was working just fine. But today I realized I'm having the same problem, at first I thought it was the dongle or the headphones, maybe a battery problem. But then when I tried turning off synapse 4, the headphones worked perfectly fine. I think it might be related to the last synapse update. Since everything was working, until I received an update notification, and after I updated synapse the problem started. I don't know what to do, but maybe uninstalling and reinstalling synapse might work. Tried contacting with support, but they are probably going to take some days to answer. Let me know if you find any solution

Hey man, I've been trying uninstalling synapse and reinstalling. But it didn't work. I guess is some kind of problem with the new synapse version. I genuinely give up, I'll be just disabling synapse while using the headphones and hope that razer will soon fix this problem. 

 

Again, I would appreciate if you find any solution for this. Although I think I'll just wait for razer to fix this problem

Im having this exact issue, its no fun going back to synapse 3 and not being able to do any chroma effects to match my other stuff. someone please figure this out ://////

I just found out that its also showing wrong model in Synapse 4. I got white version of the headset and its showing black one instead.

Yeah, happens to me too, I have the white model and it says it’s the black. And also shows it has 0% of baterry, although I have more than 60%. Yesterday I talked with razer support. The problem is probably something about the software, since the headset works without synapse open. They are going to email me in a few days, I’ll let you guys know if I find any solution

same here its powering off because it cant detect its battery meter that’s why it saying low battery then power off. razer please fix this

I thought mine wasn’t charging, looks to be the same issue as here, I was able to put it in bluetooth mode after taking out the dongle and it’s working/showing as 100% charge on my phone so defo a synapse issue.

Chiming in to say I’m having the same issue. Everything worked fine last night (about 12 hours ago), but this morning they kept turning on and immediately off. Eventually  synapse told me they were out of battery. So I charged them until the light turned green and had the same issue: turn on, they immediately turn off,  Synapse says 0% battery. I connected via bluetooth rather than the dongle and now Windows says they have 99% battery but Synapse won’t detect them anymore.

Having the same issue right now. I thought it’s because of a dongle issue or a wire issue since when I tried the hyperspeed wireless; it keeps powering off and says it’s battery is low. But when I connect to bluetooth on my phone, the headphone’s battery is full battery and is doing well.

 

I tried closing all the Razer Synapse 4 apps, and it worked. No more powering off when connecting to the hyperspeed wireless.

Update: following advice from someone on reddit having the same issue, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse. Now whenever I plugin the dongle to a usb port I get the Windows device connected sound immediately followed by the device disconnected sound. Synapse won’t recognize the headset via dongle, cord connection, or bluetooth.

Mine have 0% battery. After full reinstall synapse 3 and 4 dont recognize headset…. after 2 hours fighting with this funny app, i can add headset to app but the quality of talking or hearing is like i bought barracudas from trunk, nice :)

It looks like Razer fixed the Synapse 4 as now the headset is working normally.

Same, they’re working perfectly this morning. No clue what was going on yesterday. Nothing I tried yesterday worked and I had a couple of conversations with razer support to no end.  Today everything’s just perfect.

My issue with synapse somehow bugged out my headset that now everytime I go to power it off, it will say the first part of "power" then just cut out, leaving a static red light. It just automatically turns on every while or so, then powering off since it hasn't connected to any Bluetooth device. I seriously need a fix for this.

Hello, my headphones are working fine except when i want to change the lightning options it just shows a blank screen on synapse 4. I tried pairing it with my phone on the Razer audio app and i can adjust the brightness but on synapse it is just blank, any tips?
