I recently had uninstalled razer synapse 4 and reverted to razer synapse 3 after hours of trying to troubleshoot issues with razer synapse 4 crashing over and over again but I decided to try to give it one more chance and for some reason I thought, what if I try continuing as guest when logging in? FOR SOME REASON, THIS SOLVES MY CRASH ISSUE. I tried logging in again and IMMEDIATELY the program crashes over and over again. I uninstall and reinstall and but log in this time to find that, sure enough, it still crashes on startup repeatedly. Uninstall and reinstall and continue as guest- NO CRASHES. So weird I don’t understand why this would be the case, maybe there is a bug with the profiles syncing or somehow my profiles got corrupted or something, I don’t know,… I also don’t know if this will solve the issue long term, and would like to be able to sync profiles or have access to my old profiles saved to my account, but for now at least it seems to work as a temporary fix for the crashing issue at least. Just thought I would share in case this helps either the dev team or anyone having similar issues with crashes.
Thank you for figuring that out. I logged out now synapse 4 works fine. I got my function keys back.
No problem, glad that this helped Hopefully a future update will remedy the issue all together
After reading some other posts it defintely seems like razer synapse 4 has been having issues with manging user profiles such as not correctly switching profiles when opening associated apps or other problems and its possible that some bug relating to user profiles could be causing the crash which also might explain why logging out seems to fix it
I had the same problem. Logging out also fixed it. I recently updated from Synapse 3 to 4; perhaps the profile migration is the culprit?

And the newest update didn’t fix it either.
