Hi everyone,
I’m posting this because I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with Razer Synapse 4 and the Razer Kraken V3 Pro.
For almost a year, I have been dealing with an audio-related issue on my Kraken V3 Pro. After trying many possible fixes, I have found that the problem only happens when Razer Synapse is installed and running.
When Synapse is removed or you disable audio signal enhancements ( video example, at the end ), the issue disappears.
The main problem is that volume changes are delayed across the whole system.
When I lower or increase the volume, the actual audio level does not change immediately. Instead, the volume change is applied after around 1–4 seconds.
This happens when changing volume through:
- Windows volume slider
- Spotify volume slider
- Other app volume controls
The audio itself is not delayed. Only the volume adjustment is delayed.
This becomes very annoying and sometimes painful because when a notification plays or a new audio source starts, it often plays at what feels like 100% volume first, and only after a few seconds does it drop to the intended volume level.
Because of this, the headset becomes very uncomfortable and almost unusable in daily use.
The issue is system-wide and is not limited to one specific application.
I have also tested this on two different PCs, one running Windows 10 and the other running Windows 11, and the issue happens on both systems. Because of that, I do not believe this is related to my specific PC hardware or Windows installation.
Hardware / Software
- Headset: Razer Kraken V3 Pro
- Connection: Wireless USB dongle
- Razer Synapse version: 4.0. [removed by moderator]
- Operating systems tested:
- Windows 10 on my first PC
- Windows 11 on my second PC
Troubleshooting Already Tried
- Reinstalling audio drivers
- Reinstalling Razer Synapse
- Updating the headset firmware
- Testing on a second PC
- Testing on both Windows 10 and Windows 11
The only reliable way I have found to stop the issue is to uninstall Razer Synapse completely.
Razer Support
I have already contacted Razer Support about this issue. Unfortunately, after more than three weeks, I still have not received a proper solution or meaningful update. So far, I have mostly been told that the issue has been forwarded to software specialists and that I should wait for a future update.
I understand that software bugs can take time to investigate, but this issue seriously affects daily use of the headset, and the lack of a clear response is frustrating.
Has anyone else experienced this with the Kraken V3 Pro and Synapse 4? If yes, did you find any workaround other than uninstalling Synapse completely?
Here is the video evidence showing the issue in action:
