Hello all,
After recently upgrading to Razer Synapse 4, I noticed that the audio quality of my Razer Kraken Ultimate headset has been completely ruined. The audio levels get to an abnormally high level to the point where the audio crackles and cuts out to a really quiet level before quickly raising its own volume and repeating the process. Raising or lowering Windows volume has no effect, the volume stays constant. After some digging, I discovered that the “Device Default Effects” setting in Windows Audio Settings were the culprit. However, by turning the effects off, it completely disables all the features that Synapse offers (I personally use a custom EQ for my headset, turning this off disables the EQ).
I tried going back to Synapse 3 to see if it fixed the issue. The issue was temporarily fixed until I opened a game. My volume became abnormally loud and everything started crackling and cutting out.
Does anyone know what is truly happening or have a fix for this? Or is this a problem on Razer’s side?
