Hello,
I would like to report what appears to be a regression in Razer Synapse 4 regarding macro execution speed, compared to Synapse 3.
I am using onboard memory profiles with macros created previously in Synapse 3.
When Synapse 4 is completely closed, the macros execute instantly with no noticeable delay, exactly as configured (0 ms delay). However, as soon as Synapse 4 is running, a significant delay appears between macro actions - even when the macro itself is set to 0 ms delay.
I have prepared two videos that clearly demonstrate this difference in macro execution speed:
• Synapse 3 (fast / no delay): https://youtu.be/NsiYelsQUrk
• Synapse 4 (noticeable delay): https://youtu.be/9Bn-Bn-WMZk
In both videos, the same macro profile was used; the only difference is whether Synapse 4 was running or not. The behavior suggests that Synapse 4 intercepts or throttles hardware macros, inserting a forced minimum delay.
This was not present in Synapse 3, and represents a performance downgrade that affects users who rely on precise and fast macro execution.
I am not asking for a workaround such as disabling Synapse.
I am requesting:
-
Confirmation whether this forced delay in Synapse 4 is intentional.
-
Whether Razer plans a software/firmware update to allow true zero-delay macro execution when 0 ms is configured.
Thank you in advance for your response.
