Dear Razer,
I have been your customer for at least 15 years, give or take. It started with mice, then keyboards, then headsets. Now I have all of the above-mentioned products and more from you. Until recently, I was also rocking the O11 Dynamic Razer Edition. I have always defended your software, as I NEVER had issues with Synapse 3 and only minor troubles with Synapse 4.
To the matter at hand. On my older system, I started to encounter issues with Synapse 4 that I could not resolve. But alas, this system will be sold, and the new owner will have different peripherals. I built a completely new system, installed Windows 11, and proceeded to install all the necessary software. On the freshly built and newly installed system, Synapse 4 failed to recognize my Cobra Pro. The mouse was working, but the software could not detect it. Unplugging the USB-C from the docking station helped, but I do not want to do that every single day. Once the mouse was recognized, I also tried to decouple the Cobra from the docking station to continue troubleshooting. Synapse 4 was then stuck on an eternal loading screen. Eventually, I gave up and installed Synapse 3 again — and lo and behold, EVERYTHING worked as intended.
I am not alone in this. I would say there are already thousands of your customers who are seriously frustrated because you are ignoring posts on Reddit and on your own forums. You are trying to troubleshoot individual issues, yet you are not addressing the core problem — Synapse 4 is flawed and a bad product.
I am giving you my two cents as advice (I work in an international company in customer service as a bilateral service coordinator, so I know a bit about customer satisfaction). DO NOT MAKE SYNAPSE 4 MANDATORY and revert back to Synapse 3. I am reading more and more that people want to switch to other brands because of the software, not because of the hardware. Think about it…
