Tartarus PRO POV buttons just ignore bindings

Hey I’ve got the exact SAME issue as you starting today and nothing gets the Dpad keys to work. They rebind on the software side but when I actually use it, its just the arrow key functions again. Any other button remaps correctly.

Same issue as of today, in WoW as well as when testing the bindings in Notepad.

SAME ISSUE HERE AS LONG AS I DONT BIND ANY KEYS BUT JUST GAMEPAD THUMB WORKS.  BUT MOMENT I CHANGE KEY THUMB ONLY DOES UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT .  STARTED YESTERDAY 8/7/25

DPAD started ignoring keybinds on me today, 8/8/25 as well.  I have tried deleting my profile and re-creating but it still does not work.  I think it is a driver problem specifically with Windows 11 as I never had any trouble at all with my Tartarus Pro before upgrading to a new machine with Windows 11.

Thumbstick wont take key binds.. Deleted all my profiles.. reset it all.. nothing appears to work.. literally unplayable right now..

I use 1,2,3,M as binds on the Thumbstick.. not the arrow keys… i NEVER use Arrow keys for any game…

Just statistics. My wife and I have been using peripherals from three manufacturers for years. Over the years, Razer has had the most buggy and unreliable software.

My Tartarus is ONLY here because Razer is the only who makes keypads. Optical keys is a really cool feature tho.

Maybe it's time to hand over software development from gamers to real engineers?

Seconding this ‘cause I encounter critical bugs that mess up my use of these devices way too regularly.

Exactly the same since the last patch. We've been like this for three days now. This is shameful. At least let us use older versions of Synapsis.

You can use Synapse 3, it supports the Tartarus Pro.  I switched to synapse 3 last night and it just works.  I called support last night and I explained them the issue.  I even purchased another Tartarus Pro because I thought mine had just died… the surprise when I plugged it in and had the same issue.

The guys from Tech support was nice, he just asked me what steps I had taken, if any, before calling.  I did all the stuff the website tells you: Repair Synapse 4, use another USB port, I even went as far as use Device Manager to uninstall all the drivers (I only use the Tartarus Pro from razer, the same reason another person said… because they are the only ones that have a gamepad with the features I want), reinstalled Synapse 4 and of course I had a brand new Tartarus Pro that I am returning.   

He said they needed logs, send me an email to donwload the log tool but I never got the email with the link to use the log app… wow Razer.  

I got tired of waiting, installed synapse 3 and I got my device back with all the keybind functions.
 

+1 ! Dpad buttons stopped working, I’m using scroll up and turbo for them, got broken today.

I’m having the same issue with my Razer Tartarus Pro (Mercury White). It’s incredibly frustrating. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse 4 three times last night, but the problem persists. I ended up switching back to my old Tartarus V2, which works, but I really dislike how it feels after getting used to the Pro.

From my testing, the problem happens as soon as you remap anything outside the D-pad, the settings just don’t stick. If you only want to remap the D-pad, you’ll need to create a new profile dedicated to that without any other key bind outside the D-pad.

As I said in my first post. Once you remap anything beyond d-pad - you’re screwed. if you want to have both d-pad and other buttons remapped - you can’t.

Downgraded to Synapse 3 for now - works as expected. No Chroma (omg what a tragedy).

Razer need put 2 options in Synapce 4  update for other old versions and conteol for update by user.

My Windows is 10. It was just a coincidence. The problem is general.
