THX Game Profiles are gone

I have been having the same problem for 5 months now and I am in constant contact with Razer support, but they can't solve the problem.

We are not the only ones having this problem, it disappeared for me after a THX driver update and upgrading to the latest version of Windows 11.

I found a workaround, I just returned to synapse 3 and it fixed, seems like the synapse  4 stopped in alpha.

Unfortunately for me, going back to Synapse 3, doesn't work!

The situation got worse....after trying to install Synapse 3 and going back to 4, the center audio channel is no longer audible. The only way to enable it is to disable Device Default Effects.

It happened to me before and I don't know how I managed to solve it by deleting all the THX drivers, but now it doesn't work anymore.....

It’s Razer. I couldn’t use these profiles for at least more than  a year.

Maybe they can finaly bugfix their software in Synapse 4  😂

I may have a little work around that helps me with my issue.
I contacted Razer’s Support and to make it short I think the missing THX Profiles / Setting are the cause of a failing cloud synch… or at least somethin in that direction.
What I made is this.

• 1.)  Keep all devices powerd and logout in the Synapse 4, wait a bit and login.
  I think disable auto-login could be usefull for now, but I didn’t test it so far.
• 2.) After login I open the tab of my sound device and click on the “...” next to the profile name and choose  “bind games” (or whatever it is called in English ^^). In 3 of 4 cases I see my installed games. If not repeated Nr. 1
• 3.) After selecting my installed games I changed the THX sound settings as I prefer. Than I made a backup of my profile (again “...” → “export”) and imported it and gave it another name (not madatory).
  
  I saw that the profile was synching with my cloud and waited a bit.

Now, when I restart my PC, and I see that there isn’t any THX profile I re-login in Synapse 4 and / or  I switch to my backup device profile until the setting are shown and than i switch to my main device profile.

At least this is working for me. The odd thing is, that yesterday i answered Support and today I got a automatic answer that the ticket is closing in 2 day in order to inactivtiy  from my side.🙄😑

For myself also, the THX Competitive Profile is missing for 100% of all games for me, some games have THX Immersive profile. The only game I got the Kraken V4 Pro for was Apex Legends with THX competitive profile but it has been missing for about a month now. After about 2 weeks of email with Razer Support and sending logs, Razer said they are aware of this issue and will fix it in a firmware/software update. However, THX does not work for the Kraken V4 Pro for about a month. Manually re-adding the game and clean installing synapse4 has not worked for me. I also reinstalled the entire windows clean but it did not work either. I also tried some thread suggestions like a THX uninstaller program from the other thread and also syncing profiles but it did not work also.

I hope this will be fixed soon as I have missed this Season of Apex due to the Kraken V4 Pro THX Competitive profile missing.

These are exactly the same tests I did and I have exactly the same problems, but I have a Razer V2. 

So I would say the problem is mainly in their drivers and software.

In addition to having the problem of the missing thx profiles, I also have the problem of the missing center audio channel. 

The only way to fix this problem is to disable THX driver effects from Windows audio options.

I've been contacting Razer for 4 months now and they always tell me that a fix will come out....

Yeah, didn’t mention it, but this is for me too.

And i noticed, that before THX and my Bara Pro got 1 combined audio output, the thx audio source was detected as 7.1 by windows. Now, wether THX is enabled or not, windows says it is only a 2.1 audio output. 

Yes, also when I play just normal youtube music videos before when THX Competitive worked, max volume could handle was around 70-80%, however now when I put the Krakven V4 pro to 100% it is still too low.. THX not working at all same as other users in thread.

Yes, have the same problem of all above of THX Competitive profile missing from all games. Would like an ETA if this will ever be fixed, if not I would like to purchase another brand of headset, so I can play Apex Legends. The THX Competitive profile is missing from Apex Legends. As the seasons are time limited, and the fix for THX Competitive Profile has not been resolved for many months, I would have to purchase another headset if the issue is not resolved this month.

I reinstalled the entire razer laptop to fix the razer kraken no profiles, but it also did not work

wiped clean my windows 11 install no fix, missing profiles, app hangs on “detecting device sometimes” no thx spatial audio effect displayed in windows,  also on my phone the razer audio app, connects the headset, plays music, but does not detect the device inside the app, or let me acess any settings functions, at this point im on the market for a diferent headset, woulda thought on some razer nari or kraken v4 something with heptic feedback but im scared its gonna have the same software issues as these barracuda pro, and these were not cheap… 

Yeah this is ridiculous. I think Razer is just waiting for us all to buy a new headsets. I don’t think they’re going to fix this issue.

Yes, I got the Kraken V4 Pro to play Apex Legends during summer, but the entire summer 2months have passed and the THX Competitive Profiles are completely missing. Did full laptop reinstall (Razer laptop as well) and profiles missing.

I had to reinstall Windows 11 to recover the center channel on my Nommo V2. It worked, but the problem with the missing THX profiles remained.

Proof that Razer software has major problems.

Tell you what , I bit the bullet and got myself some Razer Nari Ultimate as I'm sick of playing Apex without the THX profiles,  now the THX effect is displayed under windows settings unlike my barracuda pro , but still only THX profiles I get is for PoE2 and Outer worlds, guess it's really a software issue... I'm not mad I got another razer product that won't work 100% as the Nari are awesome but man how frustrating... Told myself it's a "it will eighter fix it or I'm switching brands"

I have the entire Razer lineup, 2024 Razer 18” Laptop 4090RTX, Razer Kraken V4 Pro,Razer Viper V3 Pro, Mouse,   Razer Chair, I also have been loyal to Razer over the last 5years+ with multiple laptops and mice/headphones etc can easily be verified with my profile/serials- please fix the THX Competitive Profiles not working in Apex legends and other products. We all waited 3-4months and the THX Competitive Profiles are not working as intended and are defunct for 3-4months.

Will the THX Competitive profiles ever work for the kraken v4 pro as advertised? It has never worked for apex legends for over 6+ months.

If it has been abandoned please let us know.

I had a kraken tournament headset and after a synapse update the thx sound profiles didn't work for me either. After a long correspondence I got bored because it wasn't solved and I bought a blackshark v2 pro 2023 headset but it doesn't work here either!!! I wrote to them again but no answer came I think they can't solve it and they don't know what to write anymore!

I was able to fix the THX Competitive Profiles missing, this is not a joke or sarcastic, but my Kraken V4 Pro THX Competitive Profiles now work when I bought a new non-razer brand 5090 laptop. Installed synapse and the Kraken V4 Pro THX Competitive Profiles all show and work correctly.

The frustrating part is that the Kraken V4 Pro THX Competitive Profiles did not work, on my Razer brand 4090 laptop. So it must be some software issue, but I can not pinpoint what it could possibly be.

I have a home-built desktop with Nommo V2.
When I first installed Synapse 4, the THX game profiles worked. After some Razer software and Windows updates, they stopped working.
I formatted Windows and reinstalled everything, but nothing.
Today, only the EA WRC RALLY profile works...

Many games profiles for all Razer speakers were removed. It's mostly a headset feature now. It would be nice if they actually fixed the missing center channel. I've reported this so many times and gave up as no one listens! We had it working in Synapse 4 and Windows 11 until they messed with it some time after last October. Been a full year now. This will be my last Razer set as the audio is broke and the RGB never works anymore. No RGB No THX whats the point?
